Submersible pumps with integral self cleaning intake filters

How it works

The basic principle is the same for all our filters, a cleaning rotor inside the filter continuously backflushes the filter screen. The main flow, (blue arrows), is through the filter screen and up into the pump. The backflush flow, (red arrows), recycles filtered water from inside the filter and blasts it back through the filter screen removing any debris. The whole screen is continuously cleaned every ½ second.
