Leachate Pumps
The established Well Pumps range of 4” borehole pumps – in 304 grade Stainless Steel – has now been augmented by the addition of a new HT (high temperature) version built with 316 stainless steel for harsh environments. The WPS-HT has been specially designed for use in high temperature leachate pumping applications up to 60°C. This has been achieved with the use of all 316 stainless steel materials and the development of a special motor to operate at these elevated temperatures. The elastomers are all in viton and the motor has a silicon / viton mechanical seal.
Anyone who uses pumps in aggressive environments will recognise the enhanced corrosion resistance these materials give the units as a significant advance over existing pump ranges.
Standard features of the WPS-HT include:-
- Robust construction using 1mm (minimum thickness) cold pressed stainless steel sheet components.
- 6-spot welding on each impeller vane – 6-point contact between each impeller and hexagonal shaft.
- Special over-sized Viton rubber bearings, stainless steel-reinforced neck rings and water-lubricated top bearing for excellent abrasion resistance.
- Suitable for vertical or horizontal operation
- Rugged clip-in cable guard ( no screws to lose )
- Internal strainer
These qualities give users the opportunity to handle sea water and contaminated mine- or ground-water together with a myriad of other industrial contaminants and the reassurance that the pump will give long, reliable and efficient operation. The performance range on the WPS-HT is up to 4m3/h with heads up to 120m. 12m3/h flows can be achieved up to 65m.
Proquip can offer a full range of customised 316 SS or polymer shrouds and strainers for WPS-HT pumps when used in vertical or upslope / incline risers. These shrouds draw liquid over the motor to maximize cooling and extend pump life – each is custom fabricated to suit your specific application.
