The Felsom CP borehole pump with Franklin motor uses an inverter based controller to regulate operation of the pump. No additional panels are required. The controller modulates the frequency (Hz) of the motor current in order to change pump speed in accordance with the systems water requirements. This ensures that a constant pressure is maintained in the system and the power absorbed is in the motor is only that needed when the system demands - allowing a genuine saving of energy.
